Allocation to the groups:
The ten (10) teams qualifying for the European Championship tournament men Division B shall be ranked according to the results of the last European Championship men Division A (ranked 11th and 12th), the last European Championship men Division B and the last European Championship men Division C (ranked 1st and 2nd ).
The teams shall be assigned into two (2) groups by draw as follows:
- based on this ranking, the pairs are teams ranked 1 & 2, 3 & 4, 5 & 6, 7 & 8 and 9 & 10
- the pair with the home nation shall be assigned as last according the choice of the home nation.
